Community Shares of Illinois represents a diverse group of charities with a common mission, to make our world a better place. Whatever your passion—women’s issues, protecting children, helping animals, preserving the environment, promoting health care or curbing poverty and disease—Community Shares members provide options for you to help make positive change in your own community.

• Providing a safe haven for homeless animals.
• Ending youth homelessness.
• Distributing more than 46 million pounds of food to nearly 500,000 people in need.
• Leading the fight to fix Medicare Part D.
• Building and supporting healthy drug-free communities in Illinois.
• Reducing gun violence in Illinois.
• Breaking the cycle of domestic violence and abuse.
• Empowering men and women who currently are, or at risk of becoming homeless.
• Working to provide affordable housing and support services for low and moderate income people.
